About Sideshow Annie

Sideshow Annieはオーストラリアのブルーマウンテンを拠点に活躍しているオルタナティブなバンドです。

ジリアン（Gillian Reynolds）とエリオット（Eliot Reynolds）が一緒に音楽を作り始めたのは2005年。同じ年にカトゥーンバ（Katoomba, Blue Mountain, Australia）にある、Gearins HotelでのBlu FM シンガーソングライター賞のコンペティションに参加し、１位を獲得しました。その時からデュオとして、休むことなく精力的に活動してきました。これまで、The Basement（シドニー）やThe Annandale Hotel（シドニー）、The Esplanade Hotel（ヴィクトリア州）、Tris Ellies（カトゥーンバ）、The Clarendon Hotel（カトゥーンバ）、The Carrington Ball Room & Baroque Bar（カトゥーンバ）、The Blue Mountains Blues and Folk Festival（ブルーマウンテン ブルース＆フォークフェスティバル）、The Winter Magic Festival（カトゥーンバでのウィンターフェスティバル）など、様々な場所でプレイし続けています。

エリオットとジリアンの音楽は、OzMusicチャートのブルースカテゴリーに位置し、政府のプロジェクトの為に曲を作り、US Film（Cannes Film Fest）に使用され、世界的に有名なTV番組の「Home & Away」にも曲を提供しています。

二人はデュオとして、時にはトリオとしてプレイしていますが、この陽気なメンバー達と結成した「SideShow Annie」でプレイする時を一番に楽しんでいます。

 

SideShow Annie is an alternative band from Blue Mountain, Australia.

Gillian & Eliot started writing songs together in 2005. In that same year they took to the stage at the Gearins Hotel (Katoomba) to compete for the Blu FM Singer Songwriters award and left the comp taking out first prize. Since this time there has been no stopping this dynamic duo. They have played at various venues including The Basement (Syd), The Esplanade Hotel (VIC), Tris Ellies (Katoomba), The Clarendon Hotel (Katoomba), The Carrington Ball Room & Baroque Bar (Katoomba), The Blue Mountains Blues and Folk Festival, The Annandale Hotel (Syd), The Winter Magic Festival - Katoomba (on numerous occasions) and the list goes on. El and Gill had a song place in the OzMusic charts (Blues Category), have written music for Government projects, had songs used for a US Film (Cannes Film Fest) and even on the world famous t.v program "Home & Away." The two of them have performed as a duo, a trio, but are most happiest when playing with their band of merry musicians that is now "SideShow Annie."
